About the Sanctuary

The Maui Pig Sanctuary is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based on the island of Maui, Hawai'i.

What We Do

The mission of the MPS is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pigs in need,
including but not limited to abandoned, abused, and neglected pigs, by offering them lifelong care, medical treatment, and appropriate living conditions. The MPS also aims to educate the public about pig welfare and promote responsible pig ownership.

Who We Are

Our intrepid and pig-loving leader is Jillian Vickers.

Jillian fell in love with farm animals as a child and chose a career teaching children how to care for, love, and ride horses. It was through this love for animals that Jillian took in her first rescue pigs. It was through hard work and determination that Jillian started on her mission to save as many pigs as she could.

Join the Cause

Animal rescue is an often thank-less line of work but we here at The Maui Pig Sanctuary value our volunteers and would love to get you involved. Do you love pigs? Are you vegan? Do you want to volunteer? If so, give us a shout, we can always use a hand!
