About the Sanctuary

The Maui Pig Sanctuary is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based on the island of Maui, Hawai'i.
What We Do
At the Maui Pig Sanctuary, we're committed to providing a loving and nurturing environment for rescued pigs. Our mission is to offer these gentle creatures a life of comfort, care, and plenty of piggie cuddles.
Our Sanctuaries
We have two locations on the island of Maui:
-
Makawao Sanctuary: Nestled in the picturesque town of Makawao, our 2.5-acre sanctuary is home to over 30 rescued pigs.

-
Kahului Sanctuary: Our private 8-acre sanctuary in Kahului boasts a beautiful river and pond, providing a serene setting for our 50 pigs. This includes the remarkable Lahaina Fire Survivors and a group of retired pigs from a local farm.
A Diverse Family of Pigs
You'll find a variety of breeds at our sanctuaries, including Yorkshire KuneKunes, potbellied pigs, and Polynesian pigs. Each pig has a unique story, and we're honored to be a part of their journey towards a happier future.
Who We Are
Our intrepid and pig-loving leader is Jillian Vickers.
Jillian fell in love with farm animals as a child and chose a career teaching children how to care for, love, and ride horses. It was through this love for animals that Jillian took in her first rescue pigs.
It was through hard work and determination that Jillian started on her mission to save as many pigs as she could.
